Academic

In most of my clinical jobs I have held honorary or substantive academic appointments. I was appointed to the Chair of Neurological Rehabilitation in 1994 and continue to hold a Chair in Newcastle, (now Honorary since 2005). My research, educational and publication interests have obviously focused on neurological rehabilitation. I have developed particular expertise in service design, the management of spasticity and the clinical use of botulinum toxin. I am still active from an academic point of view and currently supervising a MD student as well as continuing research work.
